I am Anghel Bucur, Sculptor, I have been interested in shapes and art since I was a small child in Romania. I can remember holding an egg in my hand and studying it for hours. I loved the shape, in my mind, it was perfect. It had no beginning and no end. I have remembered how much I enjoyed this shape in my work as a sculptor.
Eventually, I decided to leave Romania and head to Italy where I felt that I would be better able to express myself through my art. The trip was not an easy one, I spent fifteen days hiding in a box before finally reaching my destination. Though it was difficult, I felt it was worth it, and that's how much I love sculpting and art.
I have worked hard to hone my skills and to create pieces that others could enjoy along with me. I am the leading creator of figurative expressionist technique. I work tirelessly to create pieces that art lovers will enjoy. I create each of my pieces from a large single portion of material. In some cases, it's a large slab of marble, in others a large piece of wood, or bronze. I invite you to go through the rest of this website to see some of my art pieces.
